EATON — The Eaton Lady Eagles soccer team battled against undefeated Bellbrook on Thursday, Sept.1, and lost 9-0 at home.

This game was controlled by Bellbrook from the start, and 15 minutes in the Golden Eagles found the net. They added two more goals before the half was over in the shutout victory for the visitors.

“Sometimes in order to take a step forward you take a step backwards,” said coach Michael Bacher. “We need to get better at attacking and not playing on our heels. I believe with our strong leadership, we will do that and bounce back.”

The loss puts Eaton at 1-1 in the Southwestern Buckeye League Southwestern Division, and 1-3 overall. Eaton was scheduled to play next on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Southwestern Division foe, Monroe.
