NT CC finishes second

SPRINGFIELD — The National Trail cross country team started off its 2016 season on a good note. On Saturday, Aug. 27, the boys team placed second out of 12 teams at the Northwestern Warrior Classic, with 84 points.

The team was led by top-14 medalist Adam Eyler in sixth and Josh Bishop who finished 11th. The top seven runners for the Blazers were: Eyler, Bishop, Travis Hunt, Weston Haws, Lane Unger, Jesse Biser, and Peyton Harrison.

The Lady Blazers ran in the Warrior Classic as well, with Evan Byrd finishing fourth overall and Casey Thompson crossing the finish line at 50th.

The Blazers will next compete on Saturday, Sep. 3, at the Columbus Grove Invitational.
