EATON — On Wednesday, Aug. 10, Eaton traveled to Pipestone in Miamisburg to compete in the Miamisburg Invitational. The Eagles finished in 13th place, led by Trevor Pittman with a 79.

On Thursday, Aug. 11, the Eagles traveled with a very young and inexperienced group to Beechwood to play in the Brookville Invitational. Sarah Willis was still in Michigan and Sean Hodges and Kasey Wilken were unavailable, as they were attending their first day of classes at MVCTC.

The Eagles finished 11th as a team and were once again led by Trevor Pittman with an 82, which was good for a top-10 finish.

During the first three events of the year, including the Preble County Tournament, Eaton was without Willis, who was playing in an AJGA (American Junior Golf Association) event in Michigan, in which she finished second.

On Friday, Aug. 12, the Eagles were back to full strength in terms of having all players available at the 37th Annual Ridge Classic at Kittyhawk Golf Course. Eaton finished on top of the team leaderboard with a team score of 334. The Eagles were led by junior Willis with a 1-over-73 which was also good for medalist of the event. Trevor Pittman shot an 84, which was good for 8th individually. Rounding out the scoring for Eaton was Sean Hodges with an 86, and Kasey Wilken with a 91.

The Eagles were scheduled to be back in action on Monday, Aug.15, against Franklin at the Eaton Country Club. Results were unavailable at press time.
