EATON — The Eaton High School football team will be holding the 12th annual Eaton Football Golf Outing on Saturday, June 11, at the Beechwood Golf Course.

This year’s event will be an 18-hole scramble format. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Head football coach Brad Davis will be running he event.

“All of the money we make will go into the program’s fund raising account. It’s one of our main events,” Davis said. “This one we feel as we had in the past, we’ve gotten tremendous community support in terms of sponsoring holes and donating items such as Reds tickets or gift cards for example. The account allows us to purchase any extra needs or wants that are not covered by the school accounts. We started this years ago and it’s a date that people look forward to and we’ve kept with it.”

Participation will cost $60 per golfer, or $240 per four-man team. Fees include greens fees, cart fees, and a food ticket redeemable in the Clubhouse at any time. Additional information may be found by contacting Coach Davis at 937-472-2635 or by email at [email protected].

The Eaton Eagles Athletics website, http://goeatoneagles.com/ will also provide information on the event.

This year’s golf outing is sponsored by Ameriprise Financial through Rudy Roth. There are prizes offered for teams who place first and second. Prize criteria are on the following: longest drive, closest to the pin, and Par-3 “circle” hole. Beechwood Golf Course members will be reimbursed paid greens fees at the Pro Shop. Also, anyone interested in donations and sponsorship is encouraged to contact Coach Davis. Those who wish to participate as golfers, donors, and/or sponsors, are encouraged to submit their registration forms before Friday, June 3.
