Blazers 3rd, 8th at Patriot Invitational

NEW MADISON —National Trail’s track teams competed at the Tri-Village Patriot Invitational on Monday, May 9.

The boys team took third, scoring 59 points, while the girls took eighth, scoring 11 points.

Placing for the boys was the 4×800 relay team (Cook, Bishop, Eyler, Unger) taking second place.

Ian Miller was third in the 110-high meter hurdles and second in the 300 hurdles.

Nick Wellman placed third in the 400. Josh Cook placed sixth in the 100.

Josh Bishop placed 4th in the 1600m run.

Lane Unger placed 4th in the 800m run and 4th in the 3200m run.

Weston Haws placed second in the 3,200m run and the 4×400 team (Biser, Wellman, Cook, Unger) was second.

For the girls, Natalie Hunt placed sixth in the 1,600 and third in the 3,200 run.

Casey Thompson finished fifth in the 3,200 and the 4×100 team (Gillett, Richards, Miller, Massa) placed fifth.

The teams were scheduled to be back in action on Thursday at Twin Valley South for the Cross County Conference Championships.

The finals of the CCC meet will be held Saturday.
