LEWISBURG — Tri-County North rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat county rival Eaton, 4-3 on Friday, May 6, to close out the regular season for both baseball teams.

The Panthers’ Zach Edgin scored the winning run on wild pitch.

The bottom of the first saw North take a 1-0 lead.

Eaton took the lead with a pair of runs in the fifth and added another run in the sixth for a 3-1 lead.

While North hung tough on Thursday with Cross County Conference champion Arcanum, the Trojans pulled away late for the 9-3 victory.

Chandler Sproles boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate to pace North. He singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.

On Wednesday, North pulled out a 5-4 win over Milton-Union.

The Panthers pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. North went up for good on an RBI single by Jordan Overcash, scoring Garrett Woodyard.
