OXFORD — Miami University Athletics has announced a partnership with Spectra by Comcast Spectacor and its Ticketing & Fan Engagement division, the leading provider of ticketing, marketing, fundraising and analytics solutions in college athletics. Miami will leverage Spectra’s industry-leading ticketing, fundraising and marketing services, as well as the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and PAC Analytics platforms. Miami will utilize Spectra to help address several concerns from the fans about their online ticketing experience in year’s past.

“We are excited about this partnership with Spectra and what our capabilities will be moving forward in this external area,” said Athletics Director David Sayler. “Being that they are the industry leader, everything from mobile delivery to ticket transfers will be a great enhancement for our fans.”

The partnership with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement will help address key issues fans have raised through game and season surveys. In particular, renewing online will be much easier for Miami season ticket holders under the new ticket website. Other enhanced features include: selecting seat locations by using an interactive venue map, improved mobile ticket delivery, and a more reliable online ticketing system. These features will help improve the purchasing experience for all RedHawk fans.

Fans should be on the lookout for an email from the Miami RedHawks to activate their online account and begin the seamless transition.

Spectra’s all-in-one online ticketing and fundraising system enables Miami to efficiently sell tickets and process donations in real-time. The eCommerce site empowers Miami to manage its individual brand and provide fans and donors with online services, including account management, print at home and mobile 2D barcode tickets, ticket transfers, and a user-friendly site for students to track and follow their student loyalty rewards.

Additionally, Miami will implement Spectra’s PACmail email marketing solution to expand its communication to RedHawks fans and broaden the marketing reach of the athletic department. PACmail will enable Miami to tailor segmented messages to fans and increase customer awareness of ticket sales, upcoming events and promotions. Fans will also have the ability to customize which emails they receive through PACmail.

The agreement between Miami Athletics and Spectra will begin immediately.

“We are thrilled to partner with an outstanding institution in Miami University to provide fan-and-donor-friendly services,” said Dave Butler, President and Chief Executive Officer of Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement. “Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement is excited to create new opportunities to enhance all fan and donor interactions through industry-leading services that benefit Miami and each of its customers.”
