A traffic stop made due to a driver suspected of driving under the influence led authorities to seize $10,000 of marijuana in Camden, Friday, July 11.Around 2 a.m. Friday, Camden Police Sergeant Mathew Spurlock spotted a vehicle traveling south bound on U.S. 127 in Camden at 40 miles per hour, 15 mph slower than the set speed limit. The Summer Crisis Program, which provides electric bill payment assistance to eligible families, began Tuesday, July 1 and will continue through Sunday, Aug. 31, or until funds are depleted. Community Action Partnership will provide assistance to households with incomes up to 175 percent of the 2014 Federal Poverty Guidelines. Yearly household income for a family of four may not exceed $41,737.50. The maximum benefit amount has increased this year from $175 to $350.
