Editor:
My name is Amy Walworth, and I have been a resident of Preble County since I was five years old. I am writing to offer my support for candidate Steve Simmons, who is running for the seat of county commissioner.
“Live, Work, Play, and Stay’” — the slogan of the county — fits me to a “T”. I have lived in Eaton for 25 years, I have worked here for the past three years, and I intend to stay in this nurturing community for the rest of my life.
I am currently employed at a local family practice, and though I left to acquire my education, I was eager to return.
It is imperative we keep this county moving forward. Growth and prosperity are more than campaign slogans; they are necessary for a community like ours to survive. I believe Steve Simmons will deliver on his promise to bring stability and direction to the commission.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Steve since I was a child. Both of our families attended Memorial Baptist Church, in Eaton. He embodies the qualities desired by a leader: wisdom, honesty, and integrity. I know he will preserve our history along with creating a vision for the future that encourages a strong desire for the younger generation to stay in Preble County as I have chosen to do.
I am asking for your support for Steve Simmons for commissioner on Tuesday, March 15 — I am confident that Steve will be a wonderful commissioner and will take our county to the next level.
