We are now accepting membership dues for 2014 at the Preble County Senior Center. There are several benefits of membership; 1) You have voting rights at the annual meeting in June; 2) You are able to rent The Gathering Place or Senior Center Great Room at a reduced rate; 3) You will receive the bi-monthly “Senior Scene” Newsletter, with all the latest information on services, activities and travel information; 4) Receive a discounted price on “Time Traveler” trips, and events and activities. (Present your membership card to receive the discounted price.) Although you don’t need to be a member to use the Council on Aging services or the Senior Center, membership is required to receive a monthly newsletter. With increased costs of printing the newsletter, processing it, and postage to mail it, we are asking our friends to help cover these costs in a small way by supporting the Council on Aging as a member. We thank you in advance.

When we have impending bad weather, The Preble County Council on Aging calls local television stations early in the morning with our closing or delay status. However, the information is not always displayed on television, but it is usually listed on the internet. We realize not everyone has a computer and internet access, so we recommend that you call the Council on Aging at 456-4947 to get the latest update. We will always have a recording listing our closing or delay information, and whether we will have transportation and home delivered meals that day. We try to get the word out to everyone, but calling our phone number is a fast easy way to get the information.
