In a sweeping investigation, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has arrested several area individuals in a sting, including Sidney Daily News Editor Jeff Billiel.

Billiel was charged with public indecency, a third-degree misdemeanor, and resigned his position as editor, effective today.

Few details were immediately available. The sheriff’s department will conduct a press conference at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at which time the names of all subjects will be released.

The alleged incidents took place in a Shelby County park, Sheriff John Lenhart confirmed earlier today.
