BLUFFTON — Dylan Mann of Camden participated in a cross-cultural experience in Bolivia, this past May.

He and other Bluffton students participated in local churches and learning how Bolivian Christians are trying to live out their faith through service to others. They also visited community development projects of the Mennonite Central Committee as well as interacted with children at a school, an orphanage and a day care center.

In addition, students explored the capital city of La Paz in the Andes Mountains and traveled to Lake Titicaca.

Mann, the son of Doug and Wendy Mann, is a junior majoring in social studies education with an adolescent/young adult teaching licensure. He is a 2012 graduate of Preble Shawnee High School.

This experience will fulfill Bluffton’s undergraduate cross-cultural requirement that must be completed before graduation. Students can either complete a cross-cultural experience or take six credit hours in one foreign language.
