Register for help with Christmas toys

The 2015 Preble County Christmas for Kids program registration will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the Grace Lutheran Church located at 111 Lutheran Dr. Eaton, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Registration for help is a one day event. Families wishing to receive toys for their children ages 0-15 years should bring with them three months’ proof of income, proof of custody and age of the children, and proof of current address and a picture ID. Examples of proof of custody can include a medical insurance card, medical records, school report card, mail addressed to the child, legal custody document or any document that links the child to the household. To be eligible, families must meet the income guidelines, have custody of the child, and live in Preble County. Those living in the Twin Valley South School District will be directed to the West Alexandria toy drive. (TVS district residents may call 937-839-1615 for help with toys.)

City of Eaton finances

The City of Eaton’s financial statements for the year ending Dec. 31, 2014 are available for inspection at the City Building, 328 N. Maple St., Eaton.

PS meeting

The Preble Shawnee Board of Education has scheduled an executive session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, to consider the employment of a public employee. Following executive session, the regular monthly meeting will begin a 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Preble Shawnee Board of Education Office, 124 Bloomfield Street, Camden.

Road closure

Paint Creek Four-Mile Road is closed between Eaton-Oxford and Camden Sugar Valley Road for approximately eight weeks for a complete bridge replacement. The closure will begin at Box 2960 and end at Camden-Sugar Valley Road. This closure will be closed to all traffic. Stay updated on this closure by viewing our website at www. prebeng.org.

SWCD Records Commission

The Preble Soil and Water Conservation District Records Commission will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 8 a.m. at the Preble SWCD Office, 1651 N. Barron St, Eaton. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss proper public records disposal in accordance with Ohio law. This meeting will be open to the public. COG meeting

The Preble County Schools Council of Governments will be meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 9 a.m. at the Preble County Educational Service Center, 597 Hillcrest Drive, Eaton. The purpose of the meeting will be to review insurance programs and any other business that needs brought before the COG at that time.

TCN Senior Citizens Holiday Luncheon

Tri-County North Local Schools has announced the 2015 Senior Citizen Holiday Luncheon is set for Friday, Dec. 4, at 12:30 p.m. in the Tri-County North High School/Middle School Cafeteria. The luncheon is hosted by the TCN Schools and supported by the Lewisburg Chamber of Commerce. All senior citizens in the Tri-County North Local School District are invited to attend the luncheon. Christmas Craft Show/Music Festival

The Eaton Community Schools Christmas Craft Show and Music Festival to benefit Eaton Athletic and Band Boosters will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5-6 in the Eaton Performing Arts Center. Hours on Saturday are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be craft vendors, music, bake sale, raffles, concessions and photos with Santa available.

College Corner EFS available

The General Purpose External Financial Statements, Modified Cash Basis, for the fiscal year ended June 30, of the College Corner Local School District, are complete and on file at the school, 230 Ramsey Street, College Corner, Ohio. They are available for review upon request.

Meeting change

The November regular meeting of the Preble County Educational Service Center Governing Board scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. has been changed to Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m.

Jacob’s Ladder

Jacobs Ladder volunteers’ pack dates for the year include: Dec. 2, Jan. 6, Feb. 3, March 2, April 6 and May 4.

Camden Craft Club Breakfast

Every third Saturday from 7-11 a.m., there will be an “all-you-can-eat” breakfast in the Camden Masonic Dining Room (above the Camden library). The meal will consist of sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, apples, potato casserole, orange juice, and coffee. The meal will cost $6 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. A chairlift is available on location to help attendees reach the second floor.

PCSWD meetings

Third Wednesday of each Month- The Preble Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors conducts monthly board meetings at 7 a.m. the third Wednesday of each month at the Preble SWCD Office, 1651 N. Barron St., Eaton. Meeting dates for 2015 will be: Nov. 18, Dec. 16.

PCDL meetings

The next Preble County District Library Board of Trustees meeting will be Nov. 23. All meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. at the PCDL Administration Office, located at 450 S. Barron St. in Eaton.

TCN meetings

The Tri-County North Board of Education has announced that the regular board meetings for 2015 will be at 7:30 p.m. each month in the Tri-County North Lecture Room. The next meeting will be held Dec. 21.

Twin Township meetings

The Board of Twin Township Trustees will have their regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. The meetings will be at 1251 Ohio 503 North in West Alexandria at 6 p.m. Notices of any special, emergency or executive meetings will be posted at the Township House on the bulletin board at the front of the building. The public is welcome to attend the meetings.

Drug recovery

The 7-Pillars Drug Recovery Program will meet at 7 p.m. each Monday night at 705 N. Barron Street in Eaton. For more information, call 1-801-SET-FREE.

Parkinson’s Support Group
