Eaton FD/EMS releases June report

EATON — The City of Eaton’s Fire and EMS Division released its June 2016 activity report earlier this month. The June report shows a combined 199 response runs, comprised of 149 EMS responses, including 19 back-up EMS calls; and 41 fire/rescue responses, including six general alarms.

The majority of calls came from Eaton, with 149 EMS calls and 38 fire calls for a total of 187. Two EMS calls came from Jackson, and Washington logged six EMS calls and two fire calls, with one additional fire and EMS call each attributed to “Other.”

Of the incidents, 176 were rescue and EMS incidents. Three were false alarms/false calls, five were fires, five were hazardous conditions not involving fire, five were service calls, one was a special incident type, and four were good intent calls.

The majority of calls were placed during the 10 a.m. hour, the 4 p.m. hour, and the hour between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m.

Basic life support was required on 75 calls, with advanced life support needed on another 75. Twelve required first aid and injury checks, and four required fire service personnel to extinguish a fire.
