LEWISBURG — Tri-County North’s volleyball team fell in both their contest this week, losing to Dixie in straight sets on Tuesday, Sept. 1, before dropping their match against Milton Union on Saturday, Sept. 5.

Against Dixie, the Panthers lost the three sets 12-25, 9-25, and 16-25.

“Our serve receive broke down, and what usually is our strong suit of serving was not on point this night,” said head coach Sarah Collins.

The hosted Milton Union at the end of the week, but were unable to get their first victory at home as they lost 18-25, 23-25, and 18-25.

“Our serve-receive was improved from earlier in the week, the hitting errors proved costly in the end,” said Collins. “(Milton Union) was a very good passing team and demonstrated that they were very scrappy. There are things we need to continue to work on as a team, but everyday I am seeing improvements.”

In the game, Allee Demorest led the way with 12 digs and four kills, Trinity Hemmerich had 10 assists and two aces, Cassi Stinson had two solo blocks, and Macey Dennison had six digs and 20 good serve receives.

The Panthers were scheduled to take on Mississinawa Valley on Thursday, Sept. 6, but the game has been moved to Wednesday, Sept. 16.

North will travel to Franklin Monroe on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
