EACB concert rescheduled

EATON — The Eaton Area Community Band concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, Jan. 15, at 4 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at 600 Hillcrest Dr. Previously scheduled for Dec. 18, the concert was canceled due to inclement weather. The concert is free, but donations are accepted.

All-County spelling bee

The All-County Spelling Bee for Eaton, National Trail, Preble Shawnee, Tri-County North, and Twin Valley Schools (elementary and middle schools) will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Eaton Performing Arts auditorium.

All-County science fair

The All-County Science Fair for Eaton, National Trail, Preble Shawnee, Tri-County North, and Twin Valley Schools (grades six through 12) will be held on Saturday morning, Jan. 21, at 9 a.m. in the Twin Valley South High School Commons. Students will display their projects and judging will take place.

Oxford Kiwanis chili dinner

The Kiwanis Club of Oxford is sponsoring a Community Chili Dinner on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 at the Talawanda Middle School from 5:30-7:30 pm. Oxford Kiwanis has individual tickets ($8.00) as well as packets of 10 tickets for $70.00 for business owners. Proceeds support a wide range of children programs in our community. PCVPOD Board meeting

EATON — The Preble County Volunteer Peace Officer’s Dependents Board will meet on Jan. 24, at 10 a.m., at Eaton Fire Station No. 2, 397 W. Lexington Rd.

Meeting postponed

The March meeting of the Preble County Park District has been postponed to Friday, March 17, at 9 a.m. in the Eaton City Building on Maple Street. The public is welcome to attend.

OPRD teen programming

OXFORD — Oxford Parks and Recreation (OPRD) has two teen programs planned for grades 6-12 for both residents and non-residents. A Lazer Kraze trip is planned for Thursday, Feb. 16, from 5-9 p.m. Participants must register online or in person by Feb. 11. The fee is $28 for residents and $31 for non-residents. Transportation will be provided.

LHS cabbage roll sale

LEWISBURG — The Lewisburg Historical Society is planning their 2nd annual cabbage roll sale. The proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards phase three of the new storage facility used to store items from Lewisburg’s past. Orders need to be received by Jan. 27, and will be ready for pickup Thursday, Feb. 2, between 1:30-7 p.m. at the Tri-County North Community Center, 261 E. Clay St., Lewisburg. EATON — The organizational meeting of the Preble County Educational Service Center Governing Board will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 5:30 p.m. at the Preble County Educational Service Center, Conference Room, 597 Hillcrest Drive, Eaton. The January regular meeting of the Preble County Educational Service Center Governing Board will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, immediately following the organizational meeting.
