EATON — The Visual Arts Center of Preble County (VAC) is teaming up with the Preble County Pork Festival to decorate the town with 10 painted concrete pigs.

The VAC is accepting designs from individuals or teams to be chosen to paint one of the 10 pigs. Once a chosen piggy is painted and displayed for all to see around the town, then it is off to the races as they will be moved to the Preble County Fairgrounds in front of the Rotary Junction for judging. The winning pig will earn its painter $100, with 2nd place earning $75, and 3rd earning $50.

The contest is open to everyone of all ages. Teams can also be formed but can have no more than five people per team. Designs must be submitted to be considered for the competition and submitted with an entry form.

Deadline to enter is Aug. 14. Questions? Want to pick up a form? Call 937-456-3999 or stop in at 601 Hillcrest Drive. The center is open 1-6 p.m., Tuesday-Friday.

The Visual Art Center is operated by the Preble Couny Art Association. Details for this event can be found at https://sites.google.com/a/takepartinart.net/pcaa/Home/oinkersforart.
