EATON — As we step into October our theme at the Preble County Council on Aging (PCCOA) is “Seniors POP!” It is National Popcorn Month! Join us Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. Making Popcorn Balls, Friday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. learn the History of Popcorn, and on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 1:30 p.m. come try different Popcorn Flavors! Seniors are Popping this month with the PCCOA!

Friday Movie: Sept. 30, at 1:30 p.m. we are showing ‘Life of Pi.” Stop by and take in this thought provoking movie. In 2013, this movie took home several Oscars two were for Cinematography and Visual Effects, “Life of Pi” is worth seeing more than once.

Old Time Movie: Monday, Oct. 3, at 1:30 p.m. we are showing the 1950 British drama film, “The Angel with the Trumpet.” Come on over and watch this film with us in Decade’s Diner.

Therapist on Call: Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m., speak with a couple of Vancrest professionals. They are here to answer questions you may have and offer tools in how to feel better.

Joy Tour & Travel: A representative from Joy Tour & Travels will be here Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. If you are thinking of travelling or know that you are wanting to take a trip with Joy Tour & Travel, then stop in and talk to their representative.

Fun Friday: Oct. 7, at noon, at The Grange. Richard Scott will be entertaining us with his music medley, and come dressed up in honor of Halloween! Call to reserve your spot by Oct. 5. Lunch is provided, $3 members, $5 non-members, sponsored by Arbor Trace.

Northern Connection: Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 11:30 a.m. these “Lunch & Learn” meetings are held at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 301 E. Main Street in New Paris. The Northern Connection is a partnership between the Preble County Council on Aging and the St. Paul United Methodist Church. Lunch is served at no charge (donations are welcome) followed by either a speaker on a topic of interest, or entertainment.

This month’s event is sponsored by Gem City. Information is also available on services provided by the Preble County Council on Aging. Everyone is welcome to attend.
