LEWISBURG — Lewisburg has had many visitors during the past two weeks. Indianapolis, Cleveland, Iowa, Kentucky to name a few. It is so much fun to share the village businesses and stories of our heritage.
Bicentennial 2018
Another example of early architecture still stands on Cumberland Street, a beautiful home known as Lawnsette. It was formerly a residence then a hotel and later a gift shop. It is rumored to have been a stagecoach stop on the then National Road. Built in 1845, it is one of the three oldest houses remaining on National Road and in the former village of Euphemia.

Girls, Girls, Girls
As many of you know, Janet has been ‘falling around’ since January. Well, after meeting with an orthopedic surgeon, we learned that ‘for her age’ her knees are OLD. Still no understanding for why she was falling. She is scheduled for a MRI to check if she has a brain and ‘for her age’ is it working properly. Will keep you posted.
Kudos to the Ware’s Chapel Youth Group who recently participated in an overnight retreat. They did some paint and cleanup projects for those who needed an extra hand. They also visited Greenbriar and Vancrest delivering flowers and playing bingo with the clients. What a wonderful experience for these young folks.
