EATON — The Preble Soil & Water Conservation District and Preble County Farm Bureau are teaming up to host a three-day Conservation Day Camp, June 21-23.

The event will be held at the Preble County Historical Farm and will be open to students in the county who have just completed second through fifth grades.

The theme is Building Blocks of Conservation, and the groups are planning three days of outdoor fun and exploration.

A Cargill Cares grant will provide $2,500 towards the cost of camp, allowing registration to be set at just $20 per camper. This includes a t-shirt, lunch each day, and all activities. There will also be opportunities for middle and high school students to serve as counselors and counselors-in-training.

Applications and information are available on the website at www.prebleswcd.org. The application deadline is May 20.

Up to 100 campers will be accepted to participate, and officials encourage those interested to turn in applications as soon as possible. Call the SWCD office at 456-5159 with questions.
