EATON — The Household Arts Committee of the Preble County Fair recently announced entry dates and changes for the 2016 fair.

Entries can be made at the fair board office starting May 19 from 8:30-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Walk-in entries will close at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 9. Online entries can also be made starting May 19, and will close on July 9.

Check in time for Household Arts projects will be changing this year to Thursday, July 28, from noon until 7 p.m. Note this is a change of days from previous years. Closed judging will take place on Friday, July 29.

Changing check-in and judging times will allow the barn to be open on the first Saturday of the fair for visitors to see the entries.

Entry categories will be in quilts, ladies and children’s garments, pillows, embroidery, rugs, crochet, knitting, handmade pictures, seasonal decorations, hobby crafts(which includes many different entries), woodcrafts, ceramics, Junior hobbies, scrapbooking, and aprons.

There are several different entry projects within each one of the categories listed. A complete list of entries can be found in the fair book. The Household Arts Committee encourages participation in the 2016 Preble County Fair.
