TVRGC Turkey Shoot

Twin Valley Rod and Gun Club Turkey Shoot is 1 p.m. each Sunday through the end of November. The public is welcome, and there is a lunch stand in the Clubhouse.

Beggars’ Night

West Alexandria Trick or Treat will be Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6-7:30cp.m. There will be a costume parade starting at the LCNB bank, 55 E. Dayton Street, at 5:15cp.m.. A costume contest, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club will begin at 5:30cp.m. across from the Town Hall. There are prizes for children twelve and under, divided into three age groups and three categories.

American Legion

There will be an Oktoberfest Dance Saturday, Oct. 24 from 7:30-11:30 p.m. featuring Flat Out at the Legion. Tickets are $10. Come enjoy the band, the brats and the sauerkraut! Come to James E. Ryan Post 322, 1477 Ohio 503 S.

We will Rock the Jukebox on Friday, Oct. 30.

Foodbank

Items needed are mac & cheese, spaghetti sauce, chicken noodle soup, peas, pork & beans, and pancake syrup. Also needed are gently used coats and blankets. The Foodbank is open from 10 a.m.-noon on Mondays and Wednesdays and is located at St. John Church, 20 E. South Street. Contact the Foodbank at 839-1615 for additional information. Non-perishable donations can also be dropped off at Salem and St. John Lutheran Churches the first Sunday of each month.

WACOCA Thanksgiving Service

The WACOCA Thanksgiving Service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church at 7 pm. on Sunday, Nov. 22. There will be great music, fellowship, refreshments and an offering for the West Alexandria Foodbank.
