Pancakes, cornhole & chops at event

LEWISBURG — There is still time to get in on the fun and excitement at the Lewisburg Community Center, for the Lion’s Club First Cornhole tournament.

The Lion’s Club is a family oriented group. The Lions Club is an international club started many years ago with the intent to help people with sight problems. They collect outdated glasses and send them to be refurbished, and distributed, to those who need them.

The Lions are hosting a cornhole tournament, on Saturday, Oct. 24, directly following a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m.

This will be a day to bring the family out and enjoy the fall weather.

The day includes a pancake breakfast, $5, starting at 8 a.m. Then catch up with neighbors, and meet new friends, while enjoying the games. Cornhole partners may register until 11 a.m., for $20 per team. There will be cash prizes, and the competitions will start at noon.

While the tournament teams get signed in, the little ones can ride the barrel train. Bring a lawn chair to enjoy the games, and munch on some of the Lewisburg Lions Pork Chops, for the usual deal of “$5 Chop and a Pop.”
