Some computer experience required; previous experience with Microsoft Word is preferred.

Novel Discussion book club

We’ll discuss ‘Etta and Otto and Russell and James’ by Emma Hooper at the Eaton Library on Thursday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. From GoodReads: “Etta’s greatest unfulfilled wish, living in the rolling farmland of Saskatchewan, is to see the sea. And so, at the age of eighty-two she gets up very early one morning, takes a rifle, some chocolate, and her best boots, and begins walking the 2,000 miles to water.

“Meanwhile her husband Otto waits patiently at home, left only with his memories. Their neighbor Russell remembers too, but differently – and he still loves Etta as much as he did more than fifty years ago, before she married Otto.”

The World of Microsoft PowerPoint

Do you want to learn how people make those cool presentations? In this class, you will learn the very basics of creating slide show presentations – adding and customizing slides, applying themes, and inserting pictures and animation, among other things. The class will be Saturday, March 18, at 1 p.m. at the Eaton Library. Some computer experience is preferred.

Eaton Library Creative Writers Group

Do you like to write? Join your fellow writers at the Eaton Library once a month for our Creative Writers Group. You don’t have to share, but you are certainly welcome to.
