Church Picnic:

Community Christian Church, 11 Dorsey Acres, West Alexandria, will host a church picnic on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m.The event will take place in the shelter behind the church, is open to anyone and everyone. There will be no charge as the church will provide everything needed.

Community dinner

Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, will have the monthly Community Dinner on Thursday, Aug. 27. There is no charge for the meal which is served from 4-5:30 p.m. in the church hall. Those who attend should enter at the entrance off the parking lot. Anyone in the community is welcome. The church hall is handicap accessible. For information call 456-3380.The next two community dinners will be on Sept. 24 and Oct. 29.

Ice Cream Social:

The Sugar Valley United Methodist Church, located at 3022 Camden Sugar Valley Road and Ohio 732, will host an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 5-7 p.m. The menu will include sandwiches, cake, pie and brownies as well as vanilla and chocolate homemade ice cream.

Breakfast

Camden United Methodist Church’s “All You Can Eat Breakfast,” will be held the fourth Saturday of every month, 7-11 a.m. Cost is $6.

Go Ministries

Go Ministries International has moved from 5125 U.S. 40, New Paris to West Orchard Street, in West Manchester. This is just eight miles from its former location. Go Ministries is a full gospel/non-denominational church with something for the entire family. Sunday worship and children’s church is at 10:30 a.m. Bible study and Soldiers for Christ Youth services are Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Live bluegrass the first Friday of every month and southern gospel national and local groups, 7-9 p.m. Admission is free and a love offering will be received.
