LEWISBURG — Two Preble County Sheriff’s deputies received honors at the March 21 Lewisburg council meeting.

CLAYTON — Residents of Ward 1 that led a campaign to place a referendum on the March 19 ballot which resulted in citizens voting against a proposed residential development in the rural area north of Route 40, attended the March 21 city council meeting not to gloat over their victory, but to offer their desire to work with the city for the benefit of all.

EATON — During a Monday, March 18, regular city council meeting, Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson requested the City of Eaton’s help in completing an upgrade of the combined dispatch center located at the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.

PREBLE COUNTY — Voters in Preble County made their voices heard on eight community-specific issues and one countywide issue during the primary election last Tuesday, March 19. They also selected the candidates they want to see on the November election ballot.

EATON — Nearly 100 people attended a free Weather Spotters training on Monday, March 11.

CAMDEN — During a Tuesday, March 12, Preble Shawnee Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Todd Bowling recognized two of the district’s bus drivers for their dedication to the safety and welfare of the students they transport each day.

EATON — The Rotary Club of Dayton through the Dayton Fraternal Order of Police selected the Eaton Police Division to receive a new K9.

CLAY TOWNSHIP — The trustees voted to hire a law firm to assist them in the investigation of the township police department.

BROOKVILLE - Brookville Local School District’s School Resource Officer Zachary Snell was recently approved for the Professional 2024 SRO Level of the OSROA (Ohio School Resource Officers Association) SRO Accreditation Program.

NEW PARIS — Hundreds of students and staff from 25 different schools across the region came together for the first-ever Jostens Renaissance Student Leadership Conference held at National Trail High School on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
