COLUMBUS — The postseason for high school softball teams begins next week with the release of the brackets earlier this week by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.

BROOKVILLE — With the game tied 2-2 Waynesville scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning Wednesday to hand Brookville an 8-3 defeat to end a four game Blue Devils win streak.

EATON — After sweeping Waynesville earlier this week, Eaton’s softball team is closing in on fifth straight runner-up finish in the Southwestern Buckeye League.

WOAC — Preble Shawnee split a doubleheader Saturday against Madison.

EATON — Last week, the Eaton baseball and softball teams hosted the Rhonda Winings Memorial Games.

WOAC — Twin Valley South suffered a 6-0 defeat to Tri-Village on Friday. TVS got one hit each from Brayden Childers, Parker Howard, Cais Kingsley, and Chandler Ulrich.

SPRINGFIELD — Tri-County North’s baseball team cruised to a 5-0 victory Saturday over Emmanuel Christian Academy.

DAYTON — Cole Crabtree got three hits in three at bats Saturday evening at Day Air Ballpark to help lead Brookville to a 13-2 victory in five innings over National Trail.

CLAYTON — Northmont swept a doubleheader Saturday against Eaton by scores of 6-2 and 11-0.

TROY — Renovations at Wayne’s Heidkamp Stadium resulted in the annual Wayne Invitational being relocated to Troy Memorial Stadium for the two day meet held Thursday and Friday.
