NEW PARIS — Even though it was really muddy, the urban and rural soil teams did an amazing job at the District Five FFA Contest on Sept. 27 in Darke County.

On Saturday, Oct. 14, the Tri-County North High School music program in Lewisburg hosted its 2nd Annual Band Bash. Despite the freezing temperatures and misty rain conditions, the show went on. Bands from Xenia, Dixie, Preble Shawnee, National Trail, Tri-County North and Eaton performed their 2023 fall shows in front of their friends and family. Schools were presented with plaques for attending. ENGLEWOOD — The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) BPA officers held their first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

EATON — On Thursday, Oct. 5, RMJG Events hosted country artists Twitty and Lynn in concert at the Eaton High School Performing Arts Center.

EATON — Recently Preble County 8th grade students had the opportunity to choose four career areas of interest from the 16 national career clusters and to actually meet with professionals in those careers during Career Day at the Preble County Fairgrounds.

EATON — Arianna Watkins, a 2021 graduate of Eaton High School auditioned for a world-class Winterguard program and was signed to their Independent A team for this season, according to Watkins former coach Lisa White.

ENGLEWOOD — The Village of Lewisburg recently donated a 1989 firetruck to the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Firefighter/EMS Program.
