Blazers drop four in rough week

It was a rough week on the diamond for National Trail’s softball team.


The Lady Blazers lost all four games last week, but suffered a one-run defeat and a pair of extra-inning losses.


Trail (3-11, 3-4 Cross County Conference) opened the week with an 11-6 setback to Northeastern, Indiana, on Tuesday, April 22.


On Wednesday, Trail dropped a 4-3 decision to CCC foe Miami East.


Trail closed out the week hosting Preble Shawnee and suffered an 8-4, 8-inning loss in Game One and lost 13-6 in 10-inning in the second game.


In the first game, Maegan Rogers had a triple, while Jenn Stan, Aleah Hunt and Marisa Wilson all had doubles.


Offensively in th second game, Rogers added another triple, while Hunt and Wilson each added doubles.


The Blazers were scheduled to play Tri-County North on Tuesday, April 29, Union City, Indiana, on Wednesday and Twin Valley South on Thursday, before closing out the week against Arcanum.
