Couple ejected in motorcycle accident

GREENVILLE - A Clayton couple were ejected from their motorcycle Sunday afternoon after the driver loses control at a curve.

At 2:55 p.m. Darke County deputies, along with New Madison Fire and Arcanum Rescue were dispatched to McNutt Road just east of U. S. Route 127 in reference to the injury accident.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2010 Harley Davidson, driven by Ray Homsi, 52 of Clayton, was heading southeast on McNutt Road when he tried to negotiate a curve and lost control of his motorcycle in some loose gravel. Homsi went off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox. Homsi and his passenger, Michelle Homsi, 49 of Clayton, were both ejected from the motorcycle.

The Hosmsis were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. The couple was treated by Arcanum Rescue and were transported to Wayne HealthCare where they are in stable condition.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
