Hawkins thanks fire fighters for job well done

March 18, 2014

Friday, March 14, could have been an infamous day in Eaton’s history. An early morning fire alarm in the 200 block of North Barron Street could have easily become a man-made disaster.

The structures there are butted up against one another and are made of multiple building materials. The entire block could have been destroyed if it weren’t for the professional response of the Eaton Fire Department. Instead, a large fire was knocked down in a short time without any injuries.

Kudos to Chief Royer and the hard work of the Fire Fighters. All of Preble’s First Responders always afford us the safety and protection we need with excellence.

Thank you for a job well done!
